Thank you to everyone who took the time to read and comment... Gradually taking my poetry down whenever time allows..it's taking a bit longer that I planned though.
I haven't done any writing for sometime. Writing was my therapy when I was recovering from divorce!
I have been blessed and given another means to lighten my load... reaching out to as many people in the community as I can and I can honestly say I haven't been happier.
Maybe one day I'll take to my pen again, for now I'm just glad to have this opportunity to serve others!
God bless you...everyone of you!!!

About this poem:
I've seen many separate because they find it convenient to just say "we've just grown apart". That I think is just pathetically sad! I believe it all boils down to allowing themselves to fall into some kind of a rut...because if we do not stop treating our partners the way we treated them before we married them...if we do not stop trying to please, to respect, to surprise, to show we care, to make him/her the most especial part of our lives...I can't see "growing apart" ever having a chance on us.
Marriage needs refreshing, even re-styling...again and again to keep it's blood flowing. If we do nothing, if we become complacent and never try to put excitement or adventure in our marriages we are basically not creating any memories and experiences to deposit in our box...memories to hold the marriage together when ill winds come and bother... not creating moments to cherish together is a sure way to let boredom sets in and overcome our marriages.
In my eyes, it really is as simple as keeping a good hairstyle...it needs regular trimming, re-touching if you have colour with it, it may even need blow-waving now and then to get rid of the cobwebs in our lives. The hairstyle will not hold its shape all the time unless we put the effort to keep it looking as fab as the day we walked out of the salon...or in our marriages .... or relationships....the day after we walked on the aisle...

WOWOWO...Simple beautiful I complitely agree with your thoughts about marriage that two people should agree to out best of themselves into marriage box as "it takes two to dance Tango" so if only one is persistent and the other one doesn't percieve in the same way to put things into box than is no use I love message of this poem;wonderful
@123whisper... Thank you my dear lady. For sharing your thoughts in here. Much appreciated! I'm glad to liked it...

So many things can be learned when reading your stuff and this one just speaks for itself. What more could one add that wasn't already scribed by you. I thoroughly enjoyed perusing this lovely piece Kathy...I appreciate you sharing this.
Haven't dropped by for a long long long time now...no intentions of doing this but I thought before I take all my poems down...somehow I feel the urge to just come out once more and say thanks to all of you dear poet friends who took the time to reade and comment on my poems.
So: @ Laura...thank you my dear I am glad you liked this one ...
PN1--- Our dear friend M...thank you so much for this generous comment of yours...sorry it has taken this long for me to send you my appreciation.. I hope life's treating you wonderfully on your side of our world! Always: Nu and Kathy
Very nice poem exposing the truth about our love's foundations. Intimacy, passion and commitment should always flow together, if one is missing our box starts to get empty. Thanks for sharing.
