From time immemorial the Human saga has raged.. There is no end to the drama Of mind and spirit Though we are housed in fleshly Bodies we are beside ourselves In an endless quest for meaning That transends the vile flesh of Our lower estate We are but beasts endowed with A magnificent idea We turn inanimate objects and Futile imaginings into household Gods That serve to titilate the bankrupt Consciousness of a dying species An earth on its endless track through Space surely bereaves the hardhearted And stiffnecked inhabitants she carries We will have our kings, our nation, and Our covenents We will exact revenge on the fools who are blind to the wisdom of our ways We shall build a kingdom to last a thousand Years and forgeting that the cemetary is The eternal residence for many such kingdoms But the fire of genius will ever push forward The invention of man shall minipulate the Code of knowledge til we shall at last immortalize Ourselves We extort the sweat of the weak to advance Ourselves We kill with impunity because evolution determines The survival of the fittest The battle of the god's shall be determined by the Number of opposing opinions we destroy Truth, if there be a truth is just a thorn in Our side Why confuse ourselves with the facts? We'll just take our lifestyles as far as We can take it And if there's some sort of day of reckconing At the end of the day well.. we'll cross that Bridge when we get to it.

Wow... an amazing write, Cafe Jim. You know, as I've said in the past, you can write with the best.
But this transcends the importance of how well something is written. This is so deep... it's also so real, so true- so very important to understand... if we could only see...
Just a fabulous write... will have to visit this again, as there's so much here... I can't do it justice in just one reading.
Wonderful, wisdom-filled, insightful - we better not just 'cross that bridge when we get to it'...

CJj2 - I don't know how I missed this deep write you posted on my birthday! It's excellently portrayed especially with the misty gray and white letters, very beautiful! I Love the by line "on her back" ... deep....

Cat.. I like to write these kind of poems dear. I hope to get better at this style of writing. Is it poetry or something else? I may be tar and feathered before it's all over. I find your comments to be amazingly in tune to every word I write. Cafe

marikia.. Thank you dear for that fine comment. I've always highly admired the infamous Gandhi statement. It was like reading twenty volumes in one sentence. Cafe

Cat.. Wow! I love the way you just summed this all up. Makes me wanna rewrite it in your style. Lol. You are one smart cookie dear. I don't think I could add anything more to what you've already stated. Thank you for taking all that time to reprint and comment in your very lucid style. Give my reguards to hub-a-lock.
