One Summer's Day - (A Sonnet)

One summer's day my eyes beheld a dream
Within a pool my Aphrodite stood
Kissed by the golden light of a sunbeam
I stood entranced Love her i new i would.

Her eyes held mine as brightly they did shine
Her beauty shone with Heaven's shining light
She looked an Angel earth bound yet divine
My heart was lost within this awesome sight.

I shall remember ever that fine day
My heart lost forever in beauty's scene
Forever in my heart the scene shall stay
I saw beauty in the pool so serene.

I left you in the pool i walked away
I saw an Angel one fine summer's day.

A very impressive sonnet Mike - you've really got to grips with the form.

Best wishes
