Life is often painted as black or white
A game where one either will win or lose
Might just be me...but that's not right
It's all in how you look at it, so choose

Every decision has an outcome of sorts
This cannot be helped, just how it goes
Whether done alone or done with cohorts
Right or wrong, it's how you feel that shows

Just open your eyes, I beg of you to look
The world is not black and white alone
It is nothing like the pages of a book
Color fills the air and has much to condone

Plus, you cannot forget the shades of grey
These many colors sometimes blurr as one
But when you mess up, get back into the frey
For life is not over, your walk is not done

One step at a time, sometimes stumbling too
There is much left to do, so take it in stride
Turn black to green, and change white to blue
Shake off the dust, and just swallow your pride
