MERRY CHRISTMAS

Merry Christmas everyone and I hope you take the time
To contact someone lonely, to say, "you're on my mind".

It doesn't take much planning, to just pick up the phone
And ring to say Merry Christmas, "are you all alone?"

I'm just about to do just that and ring someone I know,
I hope you too can spread the love and all give it a go!

Merry Christmas everyone and have a Healthy, Happy and Lucky 2016!!!

You have a merry Christmas too! Reaching out to the lonely doesn't happen enough. One of the things that drew me to like Ralph Nader is a speech he gave at Platteville college he said we should become member of a volunteer group that visits old people and those hours we donated would be banked so we would get visits in our old age.

Thank you Buffy for bringing up this subject. There are a lot of lonely elderly and disabled people out there who have no one except friends, neighbors or church families. Time can drag on their hands if they are home bound. There is a great need out there for Christian love.
