Ocean waves covered her up as she sank inside.
Her wings withered as she died.
She could no longer feel nor breathe.
The universe urged her soul to seize.
She couldn't be...
the beautiful flower she was meant to be.

I think of the pretty girl who refused to be subserviant somewhere over in the middle east and was killed for refusing to do what these evil men wanted her for. There are a lot of pretty things that are tarnished by bad men and there quest for what they want, not what is good and right.
