At The Speed Of Life

Everything keeps happening at the speed of life
Why do memories wait so long
Before they start looking back at the speed of life

There's something you want to say
Somewhere you want to be
Someone you long to see

Somehow it happens as suddenly as saying good night
And once yesterday wasn't so far out of sight
But that was when we never thought about the speed of life

Maybe we should have prayed when we were young
That life would have stayed as it had begun
And now lonely has become the meaning of quiet

There's something you want to say
But who will hear the words that fade away
At the speed of life

I get this heavy regret when I am at work. If I had prayed more maybe I would have had the courage to get a better job a long time ago instead of panwashing and factory work, yuk!doh
