THE MUSE: EDELWEISS – Poetic Pillars – Monads: The Harp - XXIX - The lair

THE MUSE: EDELWEISS – Vol. I
*** Part III: Poetic Pillars – Monads: The Harp ***
[ XXIX ]
*** The lair ***

“In the lair
Of the mole,
Few crumbs
Left from
Last feast; –
No one
To dare
Walk in
This maze; –

*** Root ***

All the worms
Of the earth,
Must have
Known of
Such beast,
- For in
Their scare,
Sink deep,
To the east; -

*** Root ***

But the mice
- Lead the way
Out of
These caves,
Just as
If each,
Though dead,
To the light
Still craves – ”
