Of grass,
Sun fades, -
With ticks,
A heart,
Now waits
Thin leaves
To fall
And part…

*** Root ***

Those eyes
Have seen
New paths
To walk,

With ways
To talk,
Like one
Who lives,
Then, dies… -

*** Root ***

For now,
Just dust…
It tells
How trees
Have learnt
In wind,
To bow,
Once birds
Have swarmed; -

*** Root ***

Deep roots
Seek lore, -
Cold springs
Then bless
This earth, -
Not more
Than less,
- Like strings
Weave core…”
