angry voices

A while back I posted a blog titled "To Dream". It drew a number of responses but few words were shared on the original theme of the entry which was that all peoples are valuable, important, and loved. I blame myself for that as I opined on the conduct of the U.S. over the years which led to the muddling of the issue of who were the victims at Mumbai India. A heated debate began on the causes of terrorrism. Folks arguing politics on a blog. Tempers flaring. Fingers pointing blame. Patronizing tones. Name calling. Insults. Hurt feelings.
One friend remarked to me that I had "opened up a can of worms". I shan't jump into the fray, however, I would like to share my thoughts on the matter. I believe that we must say what we wish and share that platform with all voices. Only true discourse aids us along our journey of discovery and is our only hope of lessening the gulf between us. Too many folks seem bent on finding someone or something to blame. Thus avoiding any responsibility to help solve problems and trying to find possible solutions. With their excoriating tones they only exascerbate divisions already in place, exasperating the problems moreso. I think that we should allow and encourage all to air their views. We can learn and perhaps somewhat understand the others viewpoint. If lucky, maybe we could arrive at a small compromise. We are all humbugs to someone. It just depends on who's seat you're in. It may be prudent, for those that question the character of people from different backgrounds, to remember the old saying "walk a mile in my shoes". Subjectivity reigns. There will never be human synthesis. We're all individual. People don't always have to know who or what caused a difficulty to find a workable solution. We must never lose sight of our common bond of humanity and of our love for one another. The only people you should want to get even with are those who have helped you. Most world leaders share the same bed with the moneychangers, as in they use their power to further their own ends. They are the true helmsmen that steer the vessel of international policy. It is never they that have become burdened in debt. Nor has any of their own blood been spilled in their glorious crusade. No, it is always the common citizen who pays the price of filling the purses of those at the top. We've become lemmings fed on propaganda and led by patriotism. As we all know, time is the healer of all wounds and usually must be given its' just due before true enlightenment showers down upon us soothing our damaged hearts.
We need a hard rain...

SILENT VOICES for yankee,s challenge

Embedded image from another site

The souls of my comrades cried out with mine
beneath white stones, line after line
Our hard fought democracy was crumbling away
Rivulets of blood encircled the earth once again.

Our voices were mingling with man,s struggles above.
Souls, no longer at rest, angry and torn.
How dare leaders make nothing of history and deaths,
fought with such blind obedience and now they mock.

The winds are changing around the world
Each country had it,s own hurricane of turmoil
I could hear the voices from long ago
Surfacing and shouting "It,s time to go"

This would be a collective march
from us, and those living above
We would shout together against tyrannical rule,
And die, not from obedience, but that we should

I doubted a change could occur
without more blood spilling
Seeping below.

Headed Into The Month Of May

The sun was shinning brightly today
I walked along slowly so slow
As I headed into the month of may
A nice breeze arrived and found me
And a few minutes later I caught a ride
My journey continues in a four door chevrolet
And the driver drove slowly so slow
As we headed into the month of may
Lingering in april long as I can
In the back seat beside me sat a little boy
With a toy plane and he wound that rubber band
And when we came to a stop
Out the window that toy plane flew away
Slowly so slow as it headed into the month of may

Truth is the Greatest Prize

We had our moments
Some good and some bad
Could we share a future
Against a world so mad
You and me were glad

Can we rewrite history
The one that got away
Is peace such a mystery
To hide what we betray
Can we catch a future

Where once was such hope
Peace that would last and last
The world too tired to cope
We were all so hungry
Coming out of the cold

Now we all must realize
Our future is really not ours
When all our freedom dies
So beware of all the lies
Truth is the greatest prize

Bill Murray

I loved you on SNL
My favorite bit by you was frequent flyer
You made Ghostbusters fun
You gave a great speech in Meatballs and Scrooged
You even made dieing funny in Zombieland
It's been 46 years of funny from you
Now it comes to find out you did something bad on the set of a movie
The men are just now having to have some consequences
Where in the past they just did as they pleased
Mostly getting away with bad behavior
Bill Cosby comes to mind
So does Kevin Spacey
And my old boss from Hardee's
I even have a few in my own family, one who died in prison from agent orange
One of the many atrocities of the Vietnam war
Abraham Lincoln once said
I do good I feel good, I do bad I feel bad, this is my religion
Apparently these guys flipped the script

Live air

Where there is air
there is a radio dial
I recall as a child
out in the country
tuning in Sydney 2SM
on our big aerial
for music seldom heard
at home, oh what a
mystery from foreign shores
it came. Rock, rock
Uriah Heep
Deep Purple
taking the teenager away.

These days I seldom listen
to the radio, even though
no visual is actually enticing.
Do you still?

Had You Told Me Yesterday

Had you told me yesterday
I would not be waiting on tomorrows tears
The silence of your precious heart
Is still ringing in my ears

Such a distant goodbye
As you drove down the road
The smoke from your old car
Has left a giant scar as it strangled my soul

Now a man of solid blue
Is what I'll always be
Had you told me yesterday
Now I'll always remember that's when you turned twenty three

Tractor broke down in the garden
Clothesline on the ground after a strong wind
Had you told me yesterday
I would never see you again

The Charmer

Yesterday we met for the first time, no not face to face...His voice like a snake charmer...I was so desperate for just a word to make feel like a desirable woman and oh boy did he have an arcenal...he kept firing them...my body began to get warm and felt like I was on fire...feelings that were dormant for years starting rear their head...my mind was telling me stop ...but now I was so close to edge...sheer joy and fireworks exploded...When it was over..chatter in mind began, how could you be so stupid...all I could tell myself ..it felt so good...then shame began...I was naked and I heard a voice ...call my name and asked.. Where are you..?? What have you done?? I replied Replied I donot know!! Today he called but I didn't answer...I am good for another couple if years. Made my repentance...Now I will focus on my soul once again.

Spring Serene

Spring serene such a magic scene
Flowers in bloom blossoms on the trees
Drifting with the breeze spring serene if you please

As the clouds begin to form there will be a shower or two
The gentle breeze is still so warm
Spring serene and every moment is right on cue

I'll stand beneath a tree and here I'll wait
Suspense yet knowingly that soon the clouds will break
Spring serene what a lovely day you make

The brim of my hat and my shoes a little wet
The sun comes out I have no regret
There's a chance for a pot of gold would anyone like to make a bet

Raise up - Wake up

The time has come
No, you can't be taken
The dawn is here
At last, awaken.

Raise your vibe and manifest
The reality that serves you best
Elevate meditate, let go of fear
It's time is over; no purpose here

Empower thee, and take a stand
The spiritual war, is now at hand
Warrior spirit, I invoke in thee
That you claim your birth right...
To be FREE!
