You place an item on a shelf, or in a cupboard where the item does not belong as the item is badly placed, when the item is retrieved by another person it dislodges something else that falls to the floor and breaks

Well, it was accidental but from what you are describing yes, it ptobably was my fault. If I'd done this I'd apologise straight away and offer to pay for whatever I broke.
I would be annoyed if having apologised, I was made to feel like a total idiot for days on end about it by other people. Sometimes in situations like this, people act like you are the only person in history who has ever broken anything. Things break - that's life - and that's also what insurance premiums are for.

Well you could always sue ...and then the Judge will determine what % of the breaking is your fault for placing it where it dopes not belong....and a % for the person as they tryed to FIX your mistake and the breaking resulted....
So in this case I would say it was a 50% on both sides....just say your sorry and get on with it...

Option 2 sounds good to me. Tell them to f..k off and that's it their own fault for being lazy gits and not putting it in the cupboards themselves

Boy..... you're a humble bunch of people where's the spirit in you or do you all like being subservient to others!!
feelinglost: A little difficult if you were married to the person
Oh dear. My days of walking on eggshells are long gone. This sounds like Obsessional Neurosis on her part which is a form of OCD. She needs help I'd say.
A broken vase.....really....." How Important Is It? "
