A year ago I thought I had...but it didn't work out. The distance was too great to sustain the relationship.
This time the distance, while still estimable, is much less, so we are both hopeful.

It's been a bit of a "dry spell" here for me and on other sites in the sense that men do contact me, but not as many anymore and those who do, I'm not really that interested in them. I’m still a bit hopeful that I might find someone decent online to get to know as a friend and date if we’re attracted to each other and are compatible, but each day I’m growing more skeptical and feel I might find someone better offline.

As with the other sites I signed into, I'm seeing TONS of wonderful women, some of them even looking for a guy just like me. So far, the closest I've seen any of them show up, was California, and as Virginian, I doubt that I could manage that distance reasonably.
AS I do NOT want to spend the rest of my days alone, I HAVE to remain hopeful, is there any other choice?
