Every time I've been 100% sincere it wasn't really appreciated, no matter how many CS female members declare to be looking for someone very sincere so yes, I do lie sometimes in order not to hurt someone's feelings.

The truth I want from a man is his marital status.
I also want him to tell me if he was with the boys getting a few beers and not working overtime.
If he wants a divorce I'd rather he tell me he's not happy and wants a divorce rather then running around with women behind my back.
I don't care if he didn't like the dinner I cooked or he doesn't like my clothes.

it's because we were lied to 100% of the time before we met you so we are inclined to question sincerity as having an ulterior motive & being not genuine....as a matter of course - so it is not a lack of appreciation u are noting - it is disbelief

nicely stated! i'd rather hear the truth. recently someone i cared for deeply, lied to me. i knew at the time they were not telling the truth. i even knew at the time they thought they were acting in my best interests. but it still undermined my ability to trust them further. the truth isn't always convenient...but i still think it's the best course of action.

I recently had a similar experience and with the same result, trust in a friend marred
but then I question if the friend was really that at all = the damage of a deception

It depends what question you ask I guess. If you ask a man if you look fat in a dress or pants, and he wants to get laid that night, well what do you think he might answer??? Exactly>>>>no! Lieing to a woman does not save her feelings. She pretty much knows when you're blowing air up her skirt, so you are only hurting yourself by not being honest, and losing a piece of her trust each time.

Yep, I would think being known as a liar would not be good for a relationship. A man can be honest with a woman but if a gal is sensitive; then just be tactful in the way you word it.
