Please do vote, for to many years we (and I mean as a Country not women) couldnt, and I think it is vitally important that everyone who can vote does so.

Oh I know, changed my mind more than once coming up to it. For the first time in my life I even considered spoiling my vote, but when the terrorist came forward I couldnt do that, had to vote for anyone else.

Yeah I'd say so alright, I'd say McGuinness won't do as well in the real poll as he's doing here.

There is a lot more support for McGuinness than people think! Dont be surprised if he does win.. He has apparently a huge amount of support in Dublin, which could prove crucial.

He'll get a good first preference vote alright but where he falls down is he is much less transfer friendly than the others. Unlike all other candidates he is actually hated by a large number of voters. For him to win he would have to be way ahead of the pack on first preferences.

McGuinness has been dropping in the polls since the election started. he started at 16% and the last one I saw was 13% despite him trying to smear everyone else and whining about being victimized all the time. There's no way he'll get in, thank God.

It really is hard to call between Mickey D and Gallacher. McGuinness smearing him will have damaged Gallagher, but I think the votes he loses will go to Micheal D rather than to McGuinness himself.

As I said before, in a semi-rational culture like the south when you go negative you hurt yourself, you are gambling you will hurt the other guy more than you. Going negative on McGuinness torpedoed Gay Mitchell's campaign at the start, for example, but McGuinness didn't gain any poll ratings from it at all. He stayed at 16% in the next few polls and then stared dropping. So I cant see any support Gallagher loses transferring to McGuinness really.

But I think Micheal D is the only one that deserves the position, but Gallagher would grow into the role I think.
