I've been on many different dating websites before CS, some pay and some free. None of them compare with CS, so I stay here only.
The best of the other ones was a dating website from Russia. {Not the one advertised here} It was very expensive. $15.00 to receive a letter and $15.00 to send one. It was very interesting to talk with Russian women, esp from the Ukraine. They are just like us and like the rest of the world, believe it or not.
I spent a lot of money doing a poll for a US news oeganization before the 2008 US Presidential election. I surveyed 100 Russian women.
These are a few of the questiions:
1] Do you like America? 100% said Yes.
2] Are you Religious? 99% said Yes. [Russian Orthodox]
3] Would you vote for Obama? Oddly, the vote came out the same as the US Presidential election. 53% said Yes.
4} Do you like Sarah Palin? 75% said Yes.
5] Would you move to America if you met the right man? 90% said No. In the comment catagory I provided for them on this question, the majority of them said that they want American men to move there, esp the US Military. Women in the Ukraine outnumber men by a wide margin because their men drank themselves to death. They want strong Military men to protect them.
I forwarded this poll to Hillary Clinton in 2009.

Yes, many. As for finding a partner, they are all the same. But CS, from my point of view, has the best forums and blogs and other things...
johnaustin123, this is a very interesting post and surprising, as well. I thought they all wanted to leave their country and that it was the main reason for seeing so many of them on the internet dating sites. Thanks for sharing your research and results.

That surprised me also! I chose who to ask in my poll. I chose every walk of life from Scientist, Engineer to Housewife. The most interesting conversation I had was with a Russian Space Technician. She asked me for my coordinates and told me to go outside at 5:00 PM EST and wave at the western sky. I had a playful Squirrel running circles around me at the time. Went I went back inside and wrote her, she replied What that Animal, Squirrel?

How would YOU know it had been reported??
The blue screen you talk about usually appears when it says there's 'page 2' or whatever in a thread, but it's not actually got a post on yet.
For example. If the thread has 20 posts (or multiples of), and showed it covered 2 pages, then the second page doesn't actually exist yet. Post 21 makes that appear.
It has NOTHING to do with whether a thread has been reported or not. I know that as FACT, as I have reported threads, and the screen has never appeared, unless in the situation described above.

cynicalorange and conrad:I know how it works because I've had it happen to a couple on my threads. We have enemies out there who don't like us because we express our opinions freely. It's not much effort for them to report us for no reason other than to harm someone. The blue screen is from our friends at CS to let us know that someone is comming after us, whether true or false in their complaint.
I usually know who it is. If you have a thread of more than 50 comments, you won't get the blue screen because too many people have accepted you.
