I think in this day and age, it doesnt matter who calls or texts who first.

it is clear that she's interested on you. and i think it's annoying that what she calls you during the working hours. if you like her too, tell her not to call during the day. if you don't, just ignore and she will be tired of calling you hehe. good luck! ;)

i'm actually really quite shy. so it's not about being old fashioned..it's about being shy, so i have only ever texted first to one person. i'm glad i did and often think about texting them again.

yes I do not want to be texted constantly - I look at a text as a way to communicate a brief necessary message such as you are running late - or a quick note of when he is planning to call. Texting is too impersonal for a datign relationship and if I am texted all the time I just don't reply to them. I would not be interested in a man who uses texting as a primary means of contact, and it is not likely I would text first, tho I have once or twice
but mainly to ask him when he plans to call so I can be home & ready to talk

You don't have to do anything you don't want to do! If you're busy or preoccupied by all means let her calls go to voice mail or let her text sit till you can respond at a more convenient time. If she has real feelings for you she won't go anywhere. Just relax and keep your focus and priorities.
