Amazing what threads are allowed and what aren't. Mine's been locked and I fail to understand why ?

Personally I think that overall they have been a force for good. I think they have abused that position recently and I hope they have learnt from it. I think a complete overhall of political support and contributions is needed as when politicains come to power they are hogtied by the rich and powerful and are beholden to their agenda and as such its not democracy as they are not representing the people that have voted them in. America is not on its own in this unfortunately.

My personal take on this is that we sometimes forget that EACH and EVERY country is part of the World, and as such we SHOULD be trying to make it a better place to live, instead of destroying it.
Differences in ones politics,religion,colour, racial hate etc are what destroys any chance of peace. Too much dwelling on past misdemeanors [and many countries are not without their skeletons] instead of moving on and making the World a safer place for everyone.
Backstabbing any country is a wasted energy. We should be embracing each other.[Says she hopefully]j.m.o.

1941 america the ussr and the comon wealth countries australia newzealand and canada entered the war, since 1933 western europe faught the war, yet every film we see conserning WWII make one believe america faught the war alone.
the country with the largest inputs where the u.k. and the ussr, americas input near the end was maily financial.
i know my history on WWII very well thank you.
by the way i wasnt trieng to get into an historicle debate i mearly used this as an example.
