If not both then I think I will go for quality. Example of why. If I had fifty pair of gorgeous shoes but they were not made well so they hurt my feet everytime I walked that would not be good. But if I had one pair of shoes of good quality then I would not be hobbled by a bunch of useless junk Makes sense to me Nope nope I will not explain my explanation it was quality
LifeThirst: why not? but is 'neither' means 'void'?
void - containing no matter, empty -
If happiness in life was just a choice of quality or variety - how simple and happy we humans would be.....
there are more important things - duty, responsibility, loyalty, obedience to valid laws, good manners, honest work, public service, family - sometimes happiness takes a back-burner to more important things - sometimes happiness arrives when these other things are achieved.... sometimes not.... it's a crap shoot.

Got it! But if I would be at your place then one selected pair is ok… no! 2 pairs are ok… in which one should be reserved for emergency!

To get your real explanation I asked ‘void’! I appreciate your all words but here this the single question to be asked: matter of the choice; no scope of a person’s total/partial life’s philosophy/personality test; that section is separate at CS. Isn’t it?
Carl96190: Quality . . . and add money. Money may not be able to buy love, but it can sure as hell make your misery more comfortable and buy a facsimile of love.

Hiya MerryW!
Your last paragraph is interesting in content ... For me ... - Duty & responsibility, when done with love = quality If there's no love in the duty & responsibility I don't see the point in "enforcing" them as neither the giver nor the receiver would thrive on it. - Loyalty = quality - Obedience to valid laws = that's relative to time & place and could be = quality - Good manners & honest work = relative to time &place, also could be = quality - Public service = quality when done from the heart. Would lose its quality if done for the ego/"to look good". - Family = quality when their importance comes from love. See point 1.
Happiness then is the result of how we approach the things that are important to us, instead of happiness being on the back burner till we deal with those things.
