I am on the yes side and always have been... proven it twice this year... one with a girl I knew for awhile and we got together and after 4 months together she went back to her old boyfriend and the other one who I dated for awhile in 2010 and then she calls me up just after the break up with the other girl and I stupidly agreed to meet her she then told me she loved me and then decided after she had got me were she wanted that it was over damn I am stupid sometimes...
kennn: I think love is a feeling that has to grow over a period of time. It also needs to be mutual between two people or it can't be true love.
So true Ken but sometimes we let our emotions rule...I know I'm guilty of it sometimes. It sucks to feel smitten over someone who doesn't feel the same way...happens a lot too.
twinself: Yes it can happen quick...but I keep it *in check* nowadays. There has to be MORE than simply the initial: *butterflies feels like love* syndrome.
Chemistry is important for anything to start, but that alone will not be enough to sustain a relationship of a true and enduring love.

Hi D, that happens to all of us ,I am sure, and at the time the feelings are far too real and do hurt. That is why I believe that it can only be love unless it is reciprocated by both.Otherwise it is just an infatuation by the person who has the feelings and usually an annoyance to the one without.

I have before and it was the most beneficial relationship of my life thus far. Other times I've taken some time to take the plunge and those relationships ended in disaster. So I'm opting with falling in love fast cause if you do it must be real! lol. It worked for me for so many years after that first experience that it must have some validity.
No! Not fast but quick. Are you worthy? Are you quick? Are you strong? Can you carry your own? Do you have honor? Do you lie or do you omit? Are you cruel or crude?
Wait! I'm almost done!
Oh what was the title of this thread, oh well hells bells, thanks I feel so much better now.....
Nah, I've learned to be cautious. It's normal to feel lust in the beginning but I think young people, in particular women, think that the lust they feel is love.
