Me mate has done it. I'd recommend it. But lots of foreign women there that don;t intend to stay in Ireland much more than a year. So it all depends on what you're looking for. Also, just like Internet dating there's a lot of psychos there too.
pedro27: i seen a programme on tv about it, few beers, talk 2 20 women in 2hours, and see if ya click with one or two
The one I'm talking about works like this: Register on speed dating website with your mobile supplied. Go to a venue, spend 5 mins talking to each. Take your own notes. Fill out a rating on the list of people you would like to date. IF the other side ALSO has you down as they'd like to meet you, then each others mobile number is exchanged automatically on the website.
One of my mates, picks ALL the women just to make sure he's not missing out on anyone.

a few miserys in there like that film, break your legs type psychos
I went to it once in dublin.....all the women looked like they were going to a wedding and if they smiled or moved the whole image would be destroyed. Me....I'm not that type.....I can look good when I am going out, but I want to enjoy myself when I am out.
Anyway....out of all the guys what were there, there was only one who didnt work in IT. And me I tend to prefer guys who do manual work.
I did go to singles night with a friend of mine last week through yon aquarium place. It was a fab night, really relaxed. I dont look at it as being on the 'hunt'. I just look at it like its an ordinary night out but in a different place than normal.

wouldnt do it again. I would go to the singles night again though. Purely because the vibe was friendly and the music was good. The jagerbomb promotion would have absolutely nothing to do with it though

BIGGEST WEIRDO CONVENTION I WAS EVER AT! Eh, before I joined here...
A friend of mine wanted to go and was too much of a chicken to go alone. He actually met his wife there...
It was in Cahir of all places, about 7 years ago, mixed age group, so you had to talk to everyone between 30's to 60's... I say the guys liked it, most of them wouldn't be able to talk to a woman for 5 minutes without her doing a runner after 20 seconds...
