Purely subjective, but Christianity. My way of life, the majority of things I use and the majority of things I am interested in come from the Christian/post-Christian world... and I don't like the look of those Muslim toilets.
I really do not live under Christian rule, so those who do not live under a religious government enjoy greater freedom. Otherwise I think there would be no major differences between living under Christian or Muslim rule. Are much alike.
Bluefish22: I am neither, so I have no idea which is better for living.
Personally I find Mother Earth is great for living
Here you go Bluefish:
Mother Earth, from the Vedic hymn
I praise the Earth with its golden breasts, The firm Earth, the broad Earth, Rock and humus, stone and dust. We invoke the firm Earth, the universal provide Into which the trees and the giants of the forest' Constant and unmoved' Have cast their anchor. May we not stumble on this Earth! We praise the broad Earth, purifying and patient, Growing out of the sacred word. May we rest on you, Earth, Carrier of strength, food and plenty, May you be a kind guide to my steps, East,North,South and West. May I not fall when I stand on the Earth. When I lie down and turn to the right or the left' When I spread myself on your back, On the broad bed of Creation, Do not harm me, Earth! May the wounds I dig into you be quick to heal May it not touch your weakness nor strike your heart, Pure Earth.
Found this in the back of an old copy of Lives Of A Bengal Lancer by Francis Yeats Brown, 1930 once owned by a Lancer in an old book store...ironic Love this piece.

from what i have been able to find in the koran and the bible they are the same route religion but cristianity has more halftruths and contridictions. islam is more old testiment eye for an eye and blood for blood and faith based.
Each to their own. The answer would come down to the individual.
With that said, personally i am not a big fan of organized religion. Out of those two, I believe the practises and cultural aspects of Islam to be quite awful in some regards.
I guess it comes down to how far the individual takes their beliefs. How they intrepet their religion for them.
There are a lot of Christians who bible thump, and take their beliefs a bit too far, push their faith ( well try to ) onto others.. and how very odd and not very practical views etc
Which one is better for living ?? Depends on the person and what they consider ' better '
If one finds a religion that works for them, and it helps them in life etc, then good for them.
However, i don't wish to have their beliefs thrown at me as though i should be believing them too, just because they do.
Not saying all religious people are like this, obviously not. But the fundamentalist type of religious person is who i mean.
Out of those two religions, well Christianity has its good points. Depends on what the individual takes from it, how they apply it to their life. Their personality etc. Also the type of Christianity. As there are quite a few different types of Christianity around.
Islam i am not an expert on either. But many of it's cultural practises in the middle east, and the Islam culture i dislike. There may be some good teachings in it, but i am not aware of them. However as i said, I'm not an expert on the religion. Just going on what i know of it.#
