If one finds a religion that works for them, and it helps them in life etc, then good for them.
However, i don't wish to have their beliefs thrown at me as though i should be believing them too, just because they do.
Not saying all religious people are like this, obviously not. But the fundamentalist type of religious person is who i mean.
Out of those two religions, well Christianity has its good points. Depends on what the individual takes from it, how they apply it to their life. Their personality etc. Also the type of Christianity. As there are quite a few different types of Christianity around.
Islam i am not an expert on either. But many of it's cultural practises in the middle east, and the Islam culture i dislike. There may be some good teachings in it, but i am not aware of them. However as i said, I'm not an expert on the religion. Just going on what i know of it.#
Each to their own. The answer would come down to the individual.
With that said, personally i am not a big fan of organized religion. Out of those two, I believe the practises and cultural aspects of Islam to be quite awful in some regards.
I guess it comes down to how far the individual takes their beliefs. How they intrepet their religion for them.
There are a lot of Christians who bible thump, and take their beliefs a bit too far, push their faith ( well try to ) onto others.. and how very odd and not very practical views etc
Which one is better for living ?? Depends on the person and what they consider ' better '
If i really got along with the woman, and clicked in some way, we had lots of similar interests, could talk and get along.. Well yes i would consider going out with her, regardless of her size.
It would come down to personality obviously. If i'd been talking to her for a while and found we had lots in common, and enjoyed her company. Then i don't see how her size would matter..
I'd probably ask her out on a date, yeah, why not !
You shouldn't need others to make up your mind for you. And it seems you aren't sure if you love hence you saying ' I think i love him' so maybe wait a while before just throwing the word' lov.e' around.
Also i forgot to add. I agree elements of the Bible have some sound advice even if you are not a Christian. But there are lots of it that are very difficult to understand. It's also been translated many times since it's Hebrew, Greek language.
I believe Jesus is supposed to have spoke Aramaic or something.
I'm not religious but i think a common interpretation by most Christians is the snake is a metaphor for the temptation of the Devil. Then of course, you have Bible thumping fundamentalists who will believe that a snake actually talked.
The Bible is a book full of metaphors and figurative speech. I've not read it all, nowhere near. Parts of it especially the Old Testament are a very uninteresting read, tedious in parts..
The New Testament being a more readable part of it. I'm not sure if there is a God or not, but i am open to the possiblity. However i would say God if one exists would not judge a person on wheter they were a Christian or not, or any religion or not, or a believer or not, but rather just see the person as an individual. I think a lot of Christian sects advocate a discriminatory worldview in some sense.
Lot's of different things for lots of different people lol. Another day in the life :) As for the world ending, Well that's a lot of hyped up stuff, scaremongering done by various sources. Even though such a belief is attributed to the Mayans, I heard it's not even something the Mayans believe in. The Mayan calender ends, but the whole world ending is not a belief of theres. According to some research done in a documentary recently anyway.
Usually read the profile to see what kind of interests etc the person has. If somebody just has a photo up and nothing wrote on their profile well it usually gives the impression that they are all about looks themselves :)
