RE: christianty verus muslim,, which one is better for living

Each to their own though.

If one finds a religion that works for them, and it helps them in life etc, then good for them.

However, i don't wish to have their beliefs thrown at me as though i should be believing them too, just because they do.

Not saying all religious people are like this, obviously not. But the fundamentalist type of religious person is who i mean.

Out of those two religions, well Christianity has its good points. Depends on what the individual takes from it, how they apply it to their life. Their personality etc.
Also the type of Christianity. As there are quite a few different types of Christianity around.

Islam i am not an expert on either. But many of it's cultural practises in the middle east, and the Islam culture i dislike.
There may be some good teachings in it, but i am not aware of them. However as i said, I'm not an expert on the religion. Just going on what i know of it.#

RE: christianty verus muslim,, which one is better for living

Each to their own. The answer would come down to the individual.

With that said, personally i am not a big fan of organized religion. Out of those two, I believe the practises and cultural aspects of Islam to be quite awful in some regards.

I guess it comes down to how far the individual takes their beliefs. How they intrepet their religion for them.

There are a lot of Christians who bible thump, and take their beliefs a bit too far, push their faith ( well try to ) onto others.. and how very odd and not very practical views etc

Which one is better for living ??
Depends on the person and what they consider ' better '

RE: do u believe in long distance relationship???

DO i believe in them ? I've heard of them working out. But i've heard of quite a few not working out.

I guess it comes down to both people involved. The Distance, the personalities. The trust between those people.

RE: do you like to cuddle?

A cuddle is nice...

Depending on who its with of course.

RE: FUTURE OF THE EURO

A few more countries will be gone from the Euro

RE: WHO SHOULD DECIDE IF A DEFENDANT IS MAD?

And it would depend on the crime in regards to the second part of your question ...

RE: WHO SHOULD DECIDE IF A DEFENDANT IS MAD?

Well obviously the mental health professional would determine if they are ' mad '

Then the judge would make the decision based on the reports from the psychiatrist etc

RE: Would you go out with a large person

Looks aren't everything.

If i really got along with the woman, and clicked in some way, we had lots of similar interests, could talk and get along.. Well yes i would consider going out with her, regardless of her size.

It would come down to personality obviously. If i'd been talking to her for a while and found we had lots in common, and enjoyed her company. Then i don't see how her size would matter..

I'd probably ask her out on a date, yeah, why not !

Which of these horror movies do you like most

Just realized i posted this in the wrong section. Sorry about that :)

RE: mind

The mind has incredible power when you tap into it and use it well thumbs up

RE: should i say "i love you"

You shouldn't need others to make up your mind for you. And it seems you aren't sure if you love hence you saying ' I think i love him' so maybe wait a while before just throwing the word' lov.e' around.

But up to you

RE: The Bible and the snake

Also i forgot to add. I agree elements of the Bible have some sound advice even if you are not a Christian. But there are lots of it that are very difficult to understand. It's also been translated many times since it's Hebrew, Greek language.

I believe Jesus is supposed to have spoke Aramaic or something.

RE: The Bible and the snake

I'm not religious but i think a common interpretation by most Christians is the snake is a metaphor for the temptation of the Devil. Then of course, you have Bible thumping fundamentalists who will believe that a snake actually talked.

The Bible is a book full of metaphors and figurative speech. I've not read it all, nowhere near. Parts of it especially the Old Testament are a very uninteresting read, tedious in parts..

The New Testament being a more readable part of it.
I'm not sure if there is a God or not, but i am open to the possiblity. However i would say God if one exists would not judge a person on wheter they were a Christian or not, or any religion or not, or a believer or not, but rather just see the person as an individual. I think a lot of Christian sects advocate a discriminatory worldview in some sense.

RE: "TOWER HEIST"..a movie to watch..

It's a pretty good movie... some good laughs in it. Good to see Eddie Murphy back to a funnier more adult-ish style of comedy.

Anything Ben Stiller is in, is usually funny grin

RE: horror films

The new Thing movie is actually a prequel not a remake. The story is set before the original Thing storyline. Good movie i agree though.

RE: Quantum of Solace (2008) Worst Bond movie?

Don't know about it being the worst, but it wasn't great. I'm not a big fan of Craig as Bond. Hes not very ' Bond-like'

One of my favourite Bonds was Timothy Dalton. He was good in License to Kill, and The Living Daylights.
Roger Moore was great too.

Which of these movies do you find the funniest

Out of them all I'd go with Superbad and What about Bob. Could laugh at those movies over and over !! All funny movies though.

I thought Due Date was better The Hangover, but that's just my opinion grin

RE: What Have Seen Recently - genre doesn't matter

Mine too. One of the funniest movies of all time.

' Doctor Marvin... I sail... I'm a sailor... AHOYYY' Lol ...

RE: Howdy From Texas!

'Howdy' From Ireland :)handshake

RE: You're looking at someone's profile, and the first thing you notice is...

I've only been on the site a few weeks. Never bothered to have a look at the Profile reviews. Must check that out.

Have a good day across the big pond :)

RE: Whats going to happen on 12/21/2012

Lot's of different things for lots of different people lol. Another day in the life :) As for the world ending, Well that's a lot of hyped up stuff, scaremongering done by various sources. Even though such a belief is attributed to the Mayans, I heard it's not even something the Mayans believe in. The Mayan calender ends, but the whole world ending is not a belief of theres. According to some research done in a documentary recently anyway.

Just another date on the calender for most of us.

RE: Whick is the best food in the world?

Out of the choices you gave, I'd have to with Chinese. Love a good Chinese Chicken Curry with rice :)

RE: You're looking at someone's profile, and the first thing you notice is...

Indeed. Fake profiles some of the time, you can be sure. But they are kidding nobody but themselves at the end of the day :)

RE: You're looking at someone's profile, and the first thing you notice is...

Usually read the profile to see what kind of interests etc the person has. If somebody just has a photo up and nothing wrote on their profile well it usually gives the impression that they are all about looks themselves :)

RE: Should women ask for a guy out??

Yeah. I don't see why it should be always be the fella who has to do it :))

RE: What Have Seen Recently - genre doesn't matter

Watched a good movie last night called Harsh Times. Kind of crime drama starring Christian Bale. Pretty good.

A few other ones I've watched recently.
Case 39
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
Tower Heist
Quarantine
Hide and Seek
Bad boys
What about Bob

To name a few
