Pick either one that you want,I fully support you@ But then understand that I will do the same. IF you don't, there is going to be trouble...
I would think that Muslims would be ready to leave the rest of the world to their own religious freedom. I would not want the US Military in my country, screwing my very willing daughter and sister.
Or at least that is what it was like when I was in the sandbox... ;)
I would opt for none of the above, neither Christianity nor Islam. As a white man I look at those religions and see them for what they are: cults from the deserts of the Middle East. They are religions of another race and from another era. They are alien and of no relevance whatsoever to me as a white man.
Religion, is by far, a most personal choice that a person must make. What they believe and why they believe, they should be able to answer for themselves. To follow any religion blindly is like stepping off of a high cliff...the more you fall, the more you lose yourself.
Is any one religion right? That is for the individual to decide, whatever religion they choose, if any.
It should always be best to question everything about any religion that one follows. Get answers to satisfy the self.
As all religions,(and major philosophies) fit to be practiced in public adhere to, or at least try to all share the same social 'Golden Rule of life': Christianity(in general) All things whatsoever you would have others do to you, you do unto them...
Islam: Not one of you is a believer until he desires for his brother(fellow human) that which he desires for himself.
Judaism: What is hateful to thyself, do not do to another.
Hinduism: This is the sum of our duty: Do naught unto others which would cause you pain if done to you.
Taoism: Regard your neighbor's gain as your own gain, and your neighbor's loss as your own loss.
Confucianism: Never do to others what you would not like them to do to you.
Zoroastrianism: That nature alone is good which refrains from doing unto another whatsoever is not good for itself.
Now as to which is better; basically none as most humans, from all what I've seen, heard of, experienced, etc. live by the adopted philosophy of 'do unto others before they do unto you'. Nice; such a charming approach to life. This is equated with 'the bright side'; I'd really hate to see the 'dark side'; we should all live the Monty Python version and 'Look On the Bright Side of Life' and humankind just might survive...imho; better that the US Soldier Of Fortune magazine attitude of 'Kill 'em all an' let God sort 'em out !'
Every Religion teaches morality.Certainly,Islam teaches better living than that of Christianty.Islam involves every aspect in this regard. Those Muslims who live according to golden principles of HOLY QURAN,succeed and have better living.
There is what we called the Law of Nature..the law of right and wrong. I really dont know much about Hinduism or other religions because I am born and raised as a Christian. But I think it is not wise to compare these religions...as a Christian, I respect other's religions and beliefs. Why? Because we I know how diverse people are...The world is divided into several regions etc. Christianity has been bought up and scattered by the apotles unto the other parts of the world, but still I know there are religions like Judaism who still stick to their own...I think because of that no matter what religion other people have, they believe that they have been taught some good. Some good must be in the religion they have been bought up to. As for Christianity, we are taught about the Holy Bible, the Trinity and all those stuffs because we believe in God. I think it is the same as the Hindus, the Judeans, and other religions there. For me, I do have my own faith, and I dont call it a religion, for me it is a personal relationship with my Creator.
Its in the bible, in Luke 9:5 "And as for those who do not receive you, as you go out from that city, shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them."
And for me, this is the truth because those are the words of God. People, no matter what religion we are, we came from one Creator. This creator, is that someone who desires the good in us. And for me, the important thing is, be at peace.
What I like most about Christianity teaching is that we are told to love one another. Its the second most important commandment we ought to follow next to desiring God first.
I may not know the commandments of other religions, but if they have been taught the good, and inculcated love within them and others, and have this Moral law that we know, then I think its good for starters.
So I pray for all of you, Christians and non-Christians, Hindus , Buddhists, you are loved by the Creator...He is just waiting for you to receive Him...I may not know that the truth is about other religions, but this I know, with Jesus, you can never go wrong...because the Bible is like a history of events...it is the proof that the Messiah was born, died and raised...and shall come again.
I want to share this video: I hope Christians will watch this...as well as others.
This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Matthew 24:34
