Sadly for some it is a endless sparring match and some a bloodthirst of deception and mind alteration. LOL...( that sounds a bit extreme) but all the same it seems to be true..
This pretty much reflects my opinion on the subject:
Why I am (Reluctantly) Voting for Barack Obama by Jerry Bowles on 11/03/2012
On Tuesday I will go early to my local polling place and vote to re-elect Barack Obama. I do so with a heavy heart (to borrow a phrase from Lyndon Johnson, a far more "socialist" President from an earlier era). Putting aside the historic achievement of being the first black person to be elected President, Obama's tenure has been mixed. To say that he has failed to be the transformative political leader we had hoped for is to understate the case.
My disappointment with Obama is not based on his handling of the economy. The country was in a deep economic death spiral when he took office. The housing market was collapsing dragging the nation' banks down with it. Detroit was broke and unemployment was rising at the rate of 800,000 a month. The stimulus, bailing out General Motors and Chrysler, putting the banks through stress tests and forcing them to raise capital helped avert a Depression. True, his economic advisors were too optimistic in their scenario for recovery but John McCain could certainly have done no better under the circumstances. You don't get points in politics for "it could have been worse" but Obama deserves credit for exactly that.
I do fault Obama and the administration for letting the Democrats in Congress divy up the stimulus money and hand it out to their patrons on the notion that any money spent in this kind of economy would produce some results. It would have been much better to have a targeted national plan of reconstruction to rebuild critical infrastructure--something I think the White House recognizes now.
I also fault Obama for not ever seriously pushing for a single-payer health care system of the type that every other major industrialized nation has. It is no secret that we spend more money on our current system than anybody and get mediocre results. Sure, we have the best health care in the world--for the people who can afford it. The rest of us? Not so much.
It is getting closer!! hey!!!! to all that fight for that place in office and all supporters. Whoever wins, lets help get the job done and work together after the decision is made. eh? ;-}
Jack68: Hi Niko if i have the right to vote in US i will stay home same as i never casted my vote in Pakistan
Hi Jack, I can understand and I am not the type to tell you to vote or not to vote or who to vote for...here it is a choice, the one thing that people often say is that if people stop voting they could lose the right and freedom to vote. On the other hand, here in the USA as I understand, because we do not elect according to "popular vote" and instead use the Electoral college system which is shown here and even shows what states are pretty much already decided who they will vote for and how many votes they represent, for instance my State Oregon on the map you will see is already going towards Obama and will represent 7 electoral votes. Some states are "swing" states and could go either way so of course there is a lot of campaign money directed in those states. I know that people will defend it but I think it should be by Popular vote. Anyway,,,thanks for posting and if you have a chance take a look at that link. I personally think the more that people realize this is how it works that many get a feeling that it does not matter and just don't vote at all. I am one that thinks it is important not to lose that freedom though I have been guilty in the past about nit voting as well. ;-}
What a crazy world, as soon as I posted this my virus program just popped up and (Avast) said the following "Romney is ahead in the polls though there are more people that believe that Obama will win" FROM MY ANTI VIRUS PROGRAM!! Unbelievable...this world is sure getting a bit personal and right in our faces...that I do not care for either.

The reason behind that i never casted a vote is that whenever the election held here in my age to vote, the millitary was rulling here I am watching the news from few days regularly and pakistan news channels are showing too much about Romney and Obama,it seems like elections are going to happen here.Ok now comes to the point if i have the choice to vote in US my vote will goes to Romney because he is a successful businessman, looks very happy, confident and want people to work hard and lead a better life but Obama is also not out of list his profile shows that he is a build up man without rich parents like Romney got

Hi Jack, I am sure no expert by any means,,,but I think it is going to be pretty close...who knows, maybe it will be super close and they will make us wait while they count ballots for weeks like that time with Bush,,,I sure hope not though.

Kind of scary. There are several new, paid e-mail programs out there that are said to be full-proof, but I doubt there is any such thing anymore.

Expect big delays...either from Ohio with that voting snaffu, or the multiple lawsuits they already have going on, with more waiting to be dropped.
No matter what, we REALLY need to clean up this extended election thing. It's gone from bizarre to insane

I smells like that Romney will take over if the results will be like Bush and Algore because Republicans always support Marshall laws in Pakistan and yesterday Pakistan Army Chief Delivered an expected speech through military media which was a warning to all the institutions specially to Pakistan Supreme court that they are the one to decide in this country

they are so "deep" into our lives it is creepy,,,and just plain intimidating. "They" being anyone that can afford the technology. Today I called from a phone to my cable company and because I was calling about the online bill pay not working they had immediately tracked my number and patched me to Utah to their "Collections" department. Unbelievable! I was so angry because their site was not working for a few weeks and had them take notes because I had called and then suddenly they were strong arming me! And I don't respond to well to that approach....lol...I am like,,I sure hope to hell you are recording this and send me a %*^&^$*@%$ Copy! But every day I see it more and more,,at the grocery store,,,all the online connected utilities...everywhere you look.

I see, but Jack? what do you want there for a government? what makes you feel best...or less bad?

Absolutely. I went through something similar when I was targeted by an "Obituary Scammer" after my husband's death. I tried calling every bank to but a hold on the accounts but could do nothing until I had a death certificate, which takes a couple of weeks. This is how the scammer scams... they know that so they take the info from the obituary and file for credit, etc.
Anyway, in desperation I finally called social security to see what THEY could do..... And they already knew everything!!!
back to election delays and lawsuits for a minute... It looks like another one just cropped up. We may never know who wins!
Allegation of unions putting illegal immigrants on voter rolls clouds Nevada voting
by Dan Springer | November 05, 2012 Print Email Share Share 1 Comments
Just hours before voters go to the polls in the battleground state of Nevada, a national group has announced it plans to file a complaint regarding illegal immigrants purportedly being allowed to vote.
ALIPAC, Americans for Legal Immigration PAC, based in Raleigh, N.C., sent the Nevada secretary of state an email outlining its intention.
"We want to stop the felonious thefts of American elections," says William Gheen, ALIPAC's president.
Gheen points to a commentary published in Sunday's Las Vegas Review Journal. In it, editorial writer Glenn Cook accuses the Culinary Union 226 of knowingly registering illegal immigrants and then pressured them to vote.
Cook quotes an unidentified illegal immigrant who is on the Clark County voter rolls. The person claims a union representative told them they were "in so much trouble" for refusing to vote.
Catherine Lu, a spokesperson for Nevada Secretary of State Ross Miller, said she could not comment on Cook's editorial or ALIPAC's official complaint.
Gheen says his group wants all non U.S. citizens removed from the voter rolls before Tuesday's election. He suggested the state could use Homeland Security databases such as E-verify to do the job.
The voter in Nevada for president figures to be close. A compilation of the final polls shows President Obama with a 2.8 percent lead among likely voters. But political insiders give Obama a slightly more comfortable edge in large part because of the expected Hispanic vote.
In the last two elections, Hispanics made up 15 percent of the electorate and voted overwhelmingly for Democrats.
Gheen says Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nevada, would have been ousted in 2010 if not for illegal immigrants voting. A complaint by loser Sharon Angle did not overturn the results.

Democracy works better only in well educated countries may be to many other third world countries where no one cares but in Pakistan it doesnt work and you knows the facts

Either way we lose. They are both satanists. If you want to force the US government to do what you want, vote for your congressional representative. Then gather all your friends and family to force congress to do what's right, because regardless who wins the White House, it is going to be a very bumpy ride now. contact me for more info.

I know it is a touchy subject with many people ,,,even people that are not citizens here,,I am seriously thinking that we are just beginning what is going to be a very big issue,,,it used to be more quiet. Now, in this age of faster technology and information gathering and private publication it is not so easy for the government to avoid. And from what you just posted it is just one more place that it is probably enraging more and more people. I suppose it is just a matter of time. {off subject} is there a lot of alligators there in Jacksonville? Do you have to be careful of them and carry a big knife or rifle? LOL,,,,omg,,I just hijacked my own poll!!

Hi Jack, I really appreciate your honesty, I truly would never have guessed you would say that. But, I have traveled to places that have been in changes like the Philippines and Hungary,,,Macedonia...In Hungary I spoke a lot with a man that lived most of his life in the Communist era,,,and I found that he preferred it and said it worked better for him..he is a very intelligent man and part of Nato. I believe he is a scientist as well..I know that he was sent to the USA after one of our major Hurricanes to do some technical work. I really liked talking with him. Thanks Jack. I think that I have always accepted that the world can not all be the same everywhere. I do strive for less killing but even that is not going to disappear too soon as far as I can tell.

I totally agree - but there are some "logical" things that can be done which would help. I hope we see them happen soon, or we are in for a world of trouble.
Not many alligators where I live, but bears, coyotes, bobcats nd SNAKES! At the risk of high-jacking your thread even more...all the more reason to keep a gun around the barn.
