Napoleon, Bonaparte in one of his more infamous letters to Josephine, begged her not to bathe, for he wanted to enjoy her body odour to the fullest.
He possessed an acute sense of smell. An aide-de-camp, afraid of drawing Napoleon's ire for awakening him after a fatiguing battle, devised a plan. He cut a ripened piece of one of the general's favorite cheeses and held it close to his nose. After some grunting and moaning, the general murmured, "Ahh, Josephine!"
It truly is the natural smell that excites...That is how it's been since the beginning of time.

Until he was rudely interrupted by that foul pug dog of hers named Fortune biting him and would run after him trying to bite his legs. The dog became Napoleon's mis-Fortune as it were...
It can attract as well as repel. I would try something subtle till I knew what kind of smells the person I was interested in liked. There are all kinds of smells. Floral, spices, citrus, etc...But pedro you just look like you would smell good.
I had a gentleman in the store yesterday who was just total overkill. The fumes were making my eyes water...I could hardly wait on him ...Maybe Im sensitive to it but I cant handle to much strong cologne on peeps.
Perfumes and colognes are great ... But some people end up bathing themselves with it and it is annoying cus it makes me sneeze like crazy and its even worst if it doesn't smell good
I don't wear perfume and don't much like aftershave. I prefer just the smell of a clean person! ie. no old sweaty armpits
used to like the smell of Old Spice - I think my dad probably used it as aftershave when I was a kid, and I was always smelling the bottle
I think perfumes are too overpowering and are EVERYWHERE! Sometimes when you get on the bus, you can't breath as there are so many different people wearing different perfumes/aftershaves. It's horrible.
