I miss the real milk that comes straight from a cow, it was so creamy then. Grandma used to boil it first then let it cool down in the fridge before we used it. This bring me to another thing, what happens if you drink it without pasturising it...dunno

Well, for some reason ,the " big boys" are killing the livestock in my country ,we have less and less cows ,which means we have to go to the supermarket for our milk ,milk which contains god knows what ,I mean it smells nice and tastes okay...but thats not milk .We even have adopted some "scientific studies" about the harmfulness of whole milk,

Get this, at smokeO, I would drink all their milk and would you believe it, oneday they actualy held a staff meeting to discuss the amount of milk that was being used during smokeO. I had to laugh, I mean I worked in a dairy factory and if you look out the window of the smokeO room you can see like 5, 50 million litre tanks, full of milk...every drop counts here, I guess... laugh

Hi re4eva, I always liked fresh milk directly out of the bulktank. If you know the health status of the cows, it's no problem. For legal reasons farmers in some countries have to have a sign saying that milk should be pasteurised before consumption. Some countries have problems with e. g. TB (cows are checked regularly and have to be culled if positive), so that's probably why drinking unpasteurised milk isn't common everywhere.

Yes it is the same in UK and Finland. I wouldn't risk unpasteurised milk myself, but that is my view, I have had fresh milk and it is without a doubt more creamy.

In Finland there is a fad of taking nearly all the cream fat out of milk, leaving a tasteless liquid which is supposedly good for you, my theory is they then use the cream to make more profit.

The fatless milk is the same price as the ordinary milk though.

In Ireland full and lower fat milk is the same price, in Germany the price for lower fat milk is a good bit cheaper (after all, cream is taken off and sold as cream or butter). If you drink fresh milk, you should know the source etc, haven't drunken it for a while.

I like fresh milk from cow but from the last few years local muncipility made a law to pull out all the cows from the city area so i trust on pasturized milk packed up by good companies instead of buying from milkman because milkmen comes from villages having low quility milkcheers
