FOR INSTANCE: When you follow your shadow it goes away from you - so is the woman; when you chase them, they move away from you. When you go away from your shadow, it follows you, same is the woman, when you tend to leave them they come after you like never before!

why didn't you put a third option ?
But "Shadow comes with you only when there's light, but it also leave you alone when you are in dark". So I can't compare the women to the Shadow from this reason. Most of the good women come with us together through thick and thin. And yes some women are opportunists as well as some men.

....what if the shadow is still there (in the dark).....it's just that men do not see it then?

Ah!...an interesting interpretation of the little solar-light play :)
However, we can have a different perception of the named phenomenon my dear....
What if the following process is in effect:
When you're moving forward while the Sun is behind you, then your shadow (=woman)is always just a step ahead of you.....thus guiding you gently wherever you go.....like the Sun itself........so....hmmm, it only seems to you that your shadow or woman is constantly moving away from you......
...and alternatively.....if you're walking while the Sun is in front of you (positioned in the opposite direction that is), your shadow (=woman) tends to faithfully and subtly follow you without you having to check on it occasionally....which is very convenient mind you (since we do not have eyes on the back of our heads).......so, we can say that she is yet again ever so gently guiding you towards the Sun......
....therefore, whichever way you look at it, your shadow (=woman) is there to help :)))
P.S. ....naturally, not applicable if the 'y' is there.....you know, if there is an adjective form of the noun 'woman'....

hmmm...it seems you have seen your shadow in the dark too. I like it. But I never say a the person of the shadow cannot be seen there in the light if the shadow exists.
