Ccincy: I can remember when I was probably 6 yrs old and my parents would go out hunting for food. It's been proven many a time that wild game is better to eat then the stuff they sell in the stores. They also put food coloring in the store meat to make it look like it's red.My parents had a grocery store when I was little and I remember what the meat really looked like.
Very true Cin...Natural game doesnt have any toxic garbage in it
Glatlol: Wheres the "all of the above no" option? :)
Fishing is sooooo boring. Camping, nope, hate it. Hunting, no way.
My idea of fishing and camping - log cabin in the mountains near a beautiful crystal clear lake and hunting through the well stocked cabinets and refridgerator for coffee, and food for breakfast.
And of course, I might cast a line for a fish but they never bite....
BelladonnaMaria: I have a name for that .. Nothing but a mouse hiding away in a man's underpants! Real men don't hunt!
I take a degree of umbrage at that remark. I was taught to hunt, fish and camp at a very young age,...not for SPORT, but for food and survival. My father was very much a man, and there were many times that his skill as a hunter kept us fed! I seldom hunt anymore, but still fish a bit, and by the sheer naked of my work, am often camping,...where my "hunting" skills have come in as necessary for the protection of the camp. And should th need ever arise, I will NOT starve in the wilderness. In the boreal wilds of Canada the vegetarian options open to me in the dead of winter are VERY limited!

Correction - by the sheer NATURE of my work (too many mosquitoes to be naked at work!)
Most of the ladies here that DO like these thigs are from the U.S.A. which I thought may be the case.
I am also happy for a man to have his own interested, however, these would not attract me to him.
Must be the English/Irish in me!
Thanks pisceslady, it seems these interests are viewed differently in different countries. In Germany hunting is an expensive pasttime only few can afford, you need a license for a gun (expensive to get) and you need to rent out an area where you can hunt etc. It's more common in Ireland though. I think if you grew up with it, it's more likely you'll stick with it.

However, it costs nothing to camp. Im a firm believer that everyone should experience camping

It must be a Canadian thing - cause my father was very much a man who could like off the terrain. He taught all his girls to hunt, fish and camp in the wilderness - including survival in winter.

I don't know how you camp Venus, here it is in a tent, on an air mattress, possibly in the rain.
It's something I did as a child in the garden as an adventure, but it's mainly restricted to camping grounds in Germany. I don't think you just can go somewhere and put up a tent in the "wilderness", you could be in trouble with the owner of the field (you were if we caught you on our land) or with the rangers in the forests.
I like being outdoors, but I like a good bed more.

Well, each to their own darlin. I enjoy a bit of "5 star camping" myself. But it truly doesnt compare to the majesty and connectedness of sleeping under the stars.
pisceslady7: I myself find killing things a turn-off not a turn on, although I will buy certain items e.g chicken in a supermarket. I am also way past my years of camping.
I was wondering whether women found these hobbies attractive in a mate; also whether it was a 'cultural thing' as many more men from the U.S.A. seem to mention Hunting.
I love fishing and camping, not too many men here, that I've seen. I want to test my new camper out.
