CharliCat: I hear it all the time, does it ever really happen??
Hi Charli Even candlelight dinners need the right partner. Some men like it and appreciate the effort to include some old fashion romance in the relationship to spice things up. Some others find it ridiculous. I will never forget how bad my ex partner made me feel when I had made such an attempt...
Merriweather: Gosh... I just realized I had forgotten all about this candlelight dinner romance..
Me...Usually keeping an eye on the evening news in between the salt and pepper shakers on the table... without the light on ... Must remember this candlelight caper for my next romance...
When the oppertunity arises, yes. There is nothing better than sitting opposite a beautiful women, with soft music in the background, and candles giving off a gentle glow. Seeing the reflection of the candles in her gorgeous eyes.Listening to her talk, watching her lips, wanting to touch and kiss them. Taking her warm hand in yours and holding it gently.

That's sad and very mean.
I haven't met any man who doesn't enjoy a candlelit dinner from time to time. Even better when he instigates it.

Hi Janie Yes, I agree! What's better than to keep the flame burning in a relationship. There are however some unfortunate exceptions... I mean even if he didn't like the candlelight and the romance, he could still appreciate the effort to prepare for him a nice dinner...
To the OP: Yes candle-lit dinners are wonderful! And not just for the romantic aspect either! I used to have these quite often with our children present. We would have a great home-cooked meal, sit around the table and just talk about things in a very relaxed environment. You'd be surprised what comes out when the glare of the lights are off.
