CharliCat: I hear it all the time, does it ever really happen??
I enjoy taking hot baths by candlelight, with my favorite fragrance, in complete silence. It's very relaxing and releases of a lot of stress, and my job is very stressful.
As far as a candlelight dinner, it's been a long while, but it's sure overdue!

it can sure save on fuel for the generator , if you have candels to light the way ....but now days with solar pannels being cheaper these days and led lights getting cheaper , who needs candels when you can eat by the light of the sun and leave the night for making love ...
Yes. Candlelight is a very old form of illumination, as is moonlight, twilight, soft light, sunlight, firelight,....really,....try eating in complete darkness...way to easy to jab a fork in one's eye. "Lighting" is but a single concept of romance....
I love to put candles on the table when the family comes over. I use the dimmer switch and tea lights in cups. My family usually blows them out and moves them when it's food time. My mom, brother and sister used to whine nonstop about the candles. I think they were afflicted with undiagnosed personality disorders, the whole bunch of them, and they should have been hit sharply on the head and told to shut up. But, since I was always outnumbered three to one the whiny little slimeballs always won. This is why I need to marry someone sane and get away from my family who thinks that computers are the center of the universe and candles are horrible stinky fire hazards. Who among you will save me from this terrible fate that is called my 'family?'
