MrRick77: Can your cellphone battery get to a point it won't ever charge again ? I just had mine charging for 2 hours. It never takes more than 45 minutes. And five minutes later it is dead.

Nothing lasts forever, and batteries have a short life, doesn't matter if are in your car or in your cell phone.
