The city of Calgary which is about 180 miles south of Edmonton,Alberta,Canada has suffered a very serious flood.A large part of the city is under water and there are tens of thousands who can`t go home.If this happened to your town or city and your home was not in the flood zone, would you open your home to strangers so they could have a warm place to stay?.

There is no right or wrong answer to this poll.Your willingness or lack thereof to help your fellow human being is entirely your business.
I guess because it follows the general tone of other replies I`ve read of yours.Sometimes you`re not too tactful with your replies but that is what makes you...you. Same as anybody else and their style of posting replies. It`s not right or wrong,it`s just you.

Calgary and many other towns and cities in Southern Alta have been affected by the flooding. In our city the river is supposed to crest tomorrow evening. We have a flood warning now and about 4000 people have been evacuated from their homes. The city has set up many places throughout the city for the evacuees. There are also lots that have opened their doors for them as well. I would surely welcome them into my house should the need arise.

Calgary is the one Global News has centering it`s attention on.They do mention the other places affected but only as a sidenote it seems.
As an Albertan , I can assure you we have each other's back up here. My sympathies to the families of the four who have lost their lives during the flood. But we will indeed manage. Thank you for your concern!
Just two years ago, my community housed thousands displaced by forest fire. During 911 many hundreds were given refuge in Alberta when American air space closed down.
And my campfire always has coffee on....and there is always a spare blanket

Many would not be able to center geographically on High River, Cochrane, Black Diamond, etc....Calgary is known globally! Locally, of course we know that the towns around the Calgary area are getting absolutely hammered,....but on a regional or global scale,....Calgary may strike a chord more quickly than Bragg Creek. IMHO
PS - CBC has EXCELLENT coverage of the other areas! Ever since Dr. Allard sold ITV to Global in Toronto,...well,...ya know,....
