Leo_7: but why?r NI people dangerous?cannot they live in peace with their own nation?
If Ireland get united what will make people fight to each other and why so much security will be needed.
And if the security is the only reason ,u think state have no enough funds to establish the peace inside the country?

Because as late at 15 years ago the north adn south were killing each other in sectarian violence that raged for decades creating martyrs and monsters on both sides.

Those of us in the south are frankly sick of it - and we have other things to worry about. The north dont want to come back to the republic either

Leo_7: Why should half of one nation live in Republic when other half lives under Kingdom and be part of an Empire?

Ok. Before "foreign" people startinf talking about the situation in N. Ireland they should really educate themselves. It is a difficult matter that has many many facets to it. But first of all I will tell you N. Ireland is not HALF of Ireland. It is not even a quarter. It is 6 counties from 32.

Leo_7: If I was Irish I d vote for 1 nation 1 republic.

You dont know that. You could be Irish from a Unionist background. That means you would like to remain in the Union with the UK. They make up about 15% of the whole population and are the majority in the 6 counties in N. Ireland.

Leo_7: But i ,m not Irish and dont know whats the case .I m curious.
Do Irish people want to be united? What people of Republic think about getting united and what N.Ireland people want?
And economically what would be best for both part?
Do u see they ever get united?

Nationalists and Republicans want a United Ireland. Unionists and Loyalists dont want N. Ireland to be United. At the moment the majority in N. Ireland (6 counties) want to remain part of the UK so that is the way it should be. In 20 years time Nationalists and Republicans will be the majority and then a vote will be held and we will see how things go.

Eventually Ireland will become United but it should not happen until the MAJORITY in N. Ireland no longer want to be part of the UK.

Iuchi_Zien: Has it occurred to you that the Northern Irish MIGHT feel the same way? You say that Azerbaijan has a historical precedence, based upon what? Two years of self rule whilst Czarist Russia turned into Soviet Russia? You all live in republics that were once part of the historical Soviet Union so why shouldn't the Russian's have a say. You after all are arguing that simply because the Eire is part of the same Island the occupants of Eire should have a say in whether NI should be part of Ireland? So explain to me why the Russians shouldn't and the Eire should?
No what happened was that the Czarist Russian state collapsed in 1918, the area of that empire known as 'Azerbaijan' took advantage of that collapse to declare itself independent and promptly (or promptly by Soviet standards) got re-integrated back into the Soviet Union.

And yes, I know the residents of Eire would have a choice over whether they WANTED to integrate with NI
u have no idea about history of Azerbaijan.when i said historical land i meant the land that Azeris lived for thousand years having different kind of states and khanates before Zarist Russa has invaded the khanates.u were teling me to do some search before posting something. But i was confessing that i dont have much info about Ireland.
So why u r posting about my country without knowing anything.u just talking about soviets and zars and thinking that u know whole history of my country?

If u really wanna talk about it and arque then u need to do research to.right now ur knowlege about my country is just above zero.

Of course we should have a say in getting rid of the border, after all they would be joining us.

If it wasn't for the money the Brits pump into NI it would be dead in the water economically.
