Obstinance_Works: That is the definition of the kind of idiocy that only decadence can breed; A people so removed from the essentials and fundamentals of life that they place emotion above the basic need of survival.
There's a reason why drug use is most common in the richest nations. And there's a reason why drug use exploded post-60's with the onset of playground/makework/consumer capitalism financed by debt and posterity. The reason is that we'd never had it so good, and easiness breeds weakness of mind, body and soul.
Again, you fail to recognise the potential difference between correlation and cause.
Increased material prosperity has had more than one influence upon society and you're attempting to simplify that beyond reason.
People become removed from the essentials and fundementals of physical survival for a variety of complex reasons which you're not going to reverse by your dreams of oppression of the majority in favour of your own perceived importance.
Tackle discrimination and power imbalances (and I use those words in an incredibly broad and inclusive sense) along with equipping people with the knowledge and skills to manage emotions more effectively and you might get somewhere.

Its a difficult concept to grasp and I'm not sure I quite understand it, but you might find it worth researching to allay any fears you have about loss of control in terms of addiction.
You're wrong. Long treatments with morphine or other opiates are addictive too.
That's why doctors just prescribe it when is absolutely necessary, or in terminally ills.

Absolutely!
Many people on prescribed medication for pain become addicted. That's why the word " controlled " is used.
I was recently prescribed Tramadol for pain but refused to take them. 15 years ago I was prescribed Zydol which is the same product. After 3 tablets I was so ill my GP had to give me an injection to counteract the side effects of the drug .
