I normally upload my photos when I come online and delete them when I am offline. I don’t do this because I am hiding and not even for privacy – I simply do it because it helps me to control who I interact and exchange mails with. It may sound a bit vain or selfish to say this but I have found out that I avoid getting lewd or spam mails by not leaving my photos 24/7. The few good friendships that I have formed here interact with me by google video chat or skype which at the end of the day for me is a much better connection than a picture image. After all this is what I am here for – to hopefully find someone that I can connect with not just by an image but also by voice and video communication and eventually a face to face meeting.

That is a dumbazz question! People don't have to put a picture up if they don't want to. Don't look at profiles without photos easy peasy. There are so many reasons why people don't put them up.

I love the black and whites and other types because it is indicative of the person's character and interests - which to me is real.

When I joined here first I wasnt bothered if a person had a picture up or not. However I have found that every guy I was contacted by with no pic had something to hide, thats everyone without exception,so now its strictly, no pic, no reply.

Don´t know if it´s that important, they can be fake. However, at least you have the initial choice of liking how they look or not. Pretty promptly I would require verification of their existence.... i.e. cam. Then it´s down to your personal taste whether you proceed further.
