Companionship must be a very important element in a relationship, with marriage or not. From my personal point of view I believe the lack of it in my 24-yr marriage was a major cause in our growing apart.

I think so, too. I was married previously for 29 yrs. And now for 2 yrs. and continuing(I drop by CS for friends & forums every few months) - and it's a huge difference with a caring, sharing partner
I meant to post with Larry's quote...out of practice I have been gone for awhile... silly me...If I had a lot of money I would still live the way I do... I am comfortable just the way things are...I am retired and my bills are paid and just very content...Love my small home, it is mine... and I love feeding the chickens and listening to my rooster, Prince Albert...cockodoodle !
