I don't know about that considering how kids are acting out now I think they were more helpful then what kids are watching theses days. Thou when I was growing up they still had Popeye cartoons I think they were the for runners of tom and Jerry so I think along the lines as maybe the psychological development department might need to be removed with those that understood the cartoons back then. Take a look at what the cartoons of today are doing to the kids now. lol
lionlad: A number of psychologists stated that the old cartoons were detrimental to a child's psychological development. They made particular reference to Tom and Jerry, where Tom would often lose his teeth, and suffer other unfortunate mishaps, and the roadrunner, where the coyote would be flattened with boulders, etc .WHAT'S your view on this?

I watched those same cartoons as a kid and haven't turned out to be looney toon .
Tv viewing for kids today has become a more behind closed doors activity as they have a tv/computer/smartphone in their bedrooms these days . Over-parenting has become rife , too much free choice for youngsters and the same kind of good old fashioned parental supervision isn't there any more . I'm not a parent myself but I see it in family . I could go on but that's for another topic .

Also I learned mice could fly, and Batman and Courageous Cat drive the same kind of car.
