I just read a story about a 7 year old girl who was the only survivor of a small plane crash. And all I could think was WOW !! So at what age does a kid understand truly how life is for them ?
life is for us how we understand it...whenever...how is life different from one age to the next? What is it you are wanting children to understand? responsibilty? vulnerabilty? housework? lol

Life changes every single day, some great changes, some not, life not something that is for you, but how you adapt and react to lives changes is who you are and/or evolve into.

Its all about "home" education, if you do not teach the child well at home how can you expect the school to make the child better, you need to be firm with any child and let it know the rights and wrongs, l believe that when you look at ac child you see the family if the child is scum then the family normally are, in any case never blame others for the way your child is and certainly never blame the school because their hands are tied...........yours are not!

Hard times, danger and a powerful mind make a kid grow up sooner rather than later.
