I will reply here since you banned me from the other thread. You completely misunderstood what I was saying. In no moment I bad mouthed your work, i was merely doing a comparisson. A profile is like an add, but in this case the item you are selling is yourself. I was telling you to imagine that your profile is the same as a pitch for one of your stories, how would you convince other people to 'buy' you.

People forget that what they say is for the benefit of others reading the profile, not themselves, their own opinion of themselves. A profile is all about the opinions of others. They are ones doing the shopping.
A profile is about why someone would want to buy into your life.
Many people approach it from the wrong angle.

I have to agree with some of the other posters. Recently I answered your first pitch at this by doing some research in your area and gave you some very viable ideas about who, what, when, and where. Not a word back, but hey, that's the world. People who are truly one in a million take the time to be courteous. Don't lean on being a cancer survivor. It gets old, even with the most patient and understanding people. Take the hint(s). I deserve an acknowledgement for the time I spent answering your questions. Well, why not write a piece of fiction, then?
You don't have to create reality for your profile - that's sort of impossible to do.
Capturing the essence of yourself, or a wee bit of yourself will more than suffice.
