My opinion is that the word status itself has different meanings to different people and that Status should NOT matter no matter what class.
Invariably it does especially among ill mannered know it alls of all classes, people with so called High IQ's and Academics with enough paper qualifications to paper a wall with.
But they all have something in common - They have never been taught discipline, manners or commonsense - by equally snobbish parents.
Many became 650 untrustworthy UK and US politicians, less honest and less worthy of any respect than a bucket full of slugs.

It shouldn't, but status appears to matter.
I don't have any formal qualifications, though have done some university study, but I'm just a low-life commoner.....despite possessing a reasonable brain and acquired general knowledge with life experiences.
