Elegsabiff: You know your Oz!
I lived with my grandparents for most of my school years. When possible, my grandma would have me read the book that a movie or program was based on. I read Oliver Twist, Huckleberry Finn, and The Wizard Of Oz. She would then ask me to tell her the differences I noticed. She would have me watch variety shows so that I could see how puppeteers and ventriloquists worked. She took me to the circus so I could watch how all the acts were put together. She would ask me about what I noticed at bedtime. (She was purrrty good!)
