OP, I get your frustration with "media" but I can explain why they do what they do....their alleged "censorship" of certain topics or whatever.... in three words:
"Terms and Conditions"
......that page you click "I agree to" on these "media" sites.
For example....as you mentioned, YouTube. Because you agree to their terms and conditions, they make rules they want adhered to.
Why do they make these rules? Simple.....M.O.N.E.Y....by way of advertisers dollars....or Euros or whatever, depending on where you live.
There is, no longer, free speech on the internet.....there is "free speech determined by our terms and conditions" though.
I'm not saying it's right or wrong...it just "is".
Their answer to your frustration is...."abide by our terms and conditions or don't use us".
Twitter is the same way.....they censor certain tweets that they think may effect their investors. Alot of people got plssed and quit Twitter....one person made an alternative...GAB (not sure how that site is doing because I haven't looked at it in awhile)
Gone are the days of "say anything" internet...because, well, advertisers and investors..I.e., MONEY, now dictate more and more of what needs to be posted on any given site.
Again, not saying it's right or wrong, it's just how it is.

And while I Admit Yes the Money Is The Biggest Issue We Have to Remember If Only Use Social sources To MAke Money Then we Lose Sight Of What the Social Part Of the Source Of Income Is And PArt Of Being Social IS Being Unafraid To Speak Up About things And As For those who Support this I just Admit that While Funding IS Important Terms and Conditions Should Never Restrict So Much that they Force People Think Of Social Sources As A Business Over A Place To Relate With Others as THe internet It Self Has Often Been Called the information Highway And Still IS Called as Such If we Simply Allow The Media To Never See Both Sides of any situation Then they them selves May as Well Be Going against Terms and Conditions For the act of slander!!!
So Yes terms and Conditions Are Meant to Protect the Customers OF the Source iN question!!! Not the Funds Made By It things Like copy right are MOre For the act of Remembering to give Credit Where Credit IS Due Instead Of Jumping to the Conclusion that Because Its A Popular Source It Must Be Correct Or Something

The Media Got It's Hands On Abusive Conduct Through A Bunch Of Spanking Situations Never Once Mentioning Anything Positive About The Use Of Said Disciplinary Actions And Now Spankers and Spankees As Well As Parents Are Being viewed as Perverts And Even Going So Far As To Call Spanking As Torture!!! Now Many States Are Trying To Ban The Use Of Domestic Discipline!!! And Yes I Am Saying You no Longer Have Control Over Your Child any more They Can Misbehave All They Want Now!!! THey HAve Nothing To Fear Now From The PArents In Question Leading To More and MOre Disrepectful Children Being Brought Up Against the Parents Will!!! JUst THe Other Day I had a KId Ask Me If I Sold Crack Out Of NOWHERE!!!
