It's brutally hot these very days. Yet wind and rain are more common most of the year.

Not really it's just things like this that annoy me when it's obvious that she knows nothing about Spain so has to make a stupid silly remark. Maybe she was reading the History Book "upside down" I still love my American cousins across the Pond but America still have some stupid people who think they know things but actually know nowt on the subject
