Just seems like Americans love bunkers and the thought of being the last few people on earth if there was a nuclear war or something whereas the rest of the worlds outlook is " f*ck it..thats great... we all go together in a blast. Better that then dying of cancer looking at everyone around you all healthy.
I think the wet dream is a bunker next to one of the best beaches in california and when the smoke clears (..) go hit that perfact wave. Later on chilling outside the bunker for some late night BBQ around the camp fire while planning to redecorate the Bunker more up to date; IKEA might still deliver.

True, sounds like some Mad Max 9 meets lord of the beachboys type of stuff. If the move bums we can always write that book you asked about- -that will be banned and then we'll make millions, in pesetas.
There are several homes in my area that have either one of the Atlas products or something made by one of his competitors (not Rising S, I don't know anyone with a Rising S shelter). If America was sane, all new homes would be required to have one built in, but that is not a law. So many Americans have one added after construction. As you can see in the below video if you have enough land and money that is easy.
Hopefully it is never needed, but like the smoke detector outside the bedroom or the fire extinguisher in the kitchen, one feels better knowing it is there.
