I believe that they must. The earth is already starting to wobble from the weight imbalance due to countries like China and India having billions more people than most other countries.

WILL GOVERNMENT/S EVER BE FORCED TO LIMIT POPULATION GROWTH?
No, governments can always limit the population by calling out the 4 horsemen of war, famine, pestilence, and genocide.
If they now decide to adopt the more eugenic method of imposed birth control, it is not that they are forced into it, by economic necessity or environmental emergencies. Traditional massacres could take care of the overpopulation problem more quickly.
But now, with their new world order taking shape, they intend to become breeders, rather than just ranchers of humanity. They want to control who does what with whom.

The cost of providing an alternative safe(er) clean option is just not feasibly. Of course it is still going to happen and yes there will be war. We have been a very luck generation so far .... how long is that going to last

I'm not making excuses for the pollution, but I think China pollutes far more than any other country in the world and their population is still growing.
Truth is that the growing population is what caused the need for more energy output and thus an increase in pollution.
