SCUBASTEVE87: i need to know because i have heard it alot personaly.
This is why my last marriage failed also, everytime something went wrong; instead of "talking" about it, He would try and buy me stuff to be "nice"
Personally...that just got on my nerves...but thats MY opinion...guess I'm WAY too down to earth and a simple person

We need a better definition of "Nice" here. Do you mean "Nice" in the sense that he plays it fair and square, has decent manners and is prone to random acts of kindness with strangers?
Or do you mean sickly, sweet, love-sick puppy, "I'll die if you dont' go out with me" nice?

I agree here too..there are different types of "nice". So a more detailed question would be more apt to more answers

Well it's ok to be nice aka Holding the door for a lady, opening their car door for them...etc... but man, when it comes to a guy trying to "smother" you...enough is enough...lol ~JMO

I think a guy who is really nice may sometimes come off as boring which I think is the thing that turns women off more than his niceness.
