I guess at this point in my time on CS I would honestly have to say I am only here now for the Forums Threads. I've given this 'dating site' thing a whirl for a while and it hasn't worked for me. Yes there are nice and beautiful ladies on CS, but none that are ringing my bell! The ones that like me are generally not my type. The ones that I find interesting are cool and distance. If some of the ladies were about 5,000 miles closer it might be different. I am not going to attempt a long distance relationship with that large distance to solve.
So the bottom line is I would love for someone to "float my boat". I don't see it happening.

Later, I started looking around in my small town, but tried to avoid the farther reaches of the town because I'd prefer her to be within walking distance... (also preferred to avoid areas where dogs barked a lot).

perhaps you didn't read my follow up post explaining the situation here in Southern California.....what you may fail to realize is that there are more people in So. Cal than you have in North & South Dakota combined......Women don't need to travel far &
fighting commute & just normal traffic hardly makes it worthwhile....So yeah anything more than a 30 minute drive usually becomes a 'dead end'
