Funnily enough i was talking to someone on the site who i know and the subject of who found attractive came up.
She added, yeah but you like orienal/Asian women and i bet you wouldn't even date a European woman, so to prove a point i went to my who's viewed me list and went through it saying.

Unfortunately one lives all the way on the other coast(story of my life) and the other lives 90 minutes away making it unlikely that
we will connect, though it is a slim possibility....(not too many
people here in Los Angeles want to commute that far)....I have
emailed both & we do write back & forth so it is better than
nothing....but its like looking at a delicious dessert & knowing
you can't have any....

Yeah, that long-distance thing is a serious drag. At one point I had to end a relationship with an incredible girl because of the 10-minute drive - not many around here want to commit to such a commute, because of bad road conditions.
So we were limited to emails and IM, and eventually the whole thing imploded like the travel-mess that it was. 
Later, I started looking around in my small town, but tried to avoid the farther reaches of the town because I'd prefer her to be within walking distance... (also preferred to avoid areas where dogs barked a lot).
So anyhow, I do sympathize with your predicament, BJ.
