So why is the Obama adminstration wasting that courageous sacrifice? Because that is what he is doing with his Iran
position and policy.
The military paid a price for Iraq of some 4200, to remove Saddam....and to install a Iraqi gov't that could lead to democracy. Did the same in Afghanistan. The military paid a price to change the country gov't.
So now....the Military's Commander in Chief...has the prefect opportunity to address democracy in Iran......and he cannot?
He says silent on the issue? He fences walks the issue? He can do with his merely his words, what the military did in both Iraq and Afghanistan with blood.
What Pres. Obama risks with his present Iranian position, is to lose what the military gained in both Iraq and Afghanistan. At least in the ideological and intellectual levels of world opinion. If he cannot speak out for democracy in Iran, why then is Iraq or Afghanistan democracy something to be supported?
The shame here is that if he continues this course with Iran, he
will ultimately make the sacrifice of the military in Iraq and
Afghanistan, a vain one. Iran will gain regional power and these two neighboring countries will easily step away from democracy.
