Just to see how many different kinds of Christian there are on this site. We should all be one Body under Christ, so why all the Diversities? Think about that.
Denomination: U.S. dollar. That makes me a capitalistic money monk of the Washington Order of Impresarios... (i.e., some or none of the above included, except during full moons, earthquakes and general upheavals, which for a price I start (and quell).

Tater: I am a Christian(that is the denomination) society has grouped the others all into that catagory though.. I know others will dis-agree ........
All the above preach and practice differently, Baptist is the closest to Christian of those on your list....
sorry tater, i'de have to disagree...i was sorta' raised "baptist"...baptists are the same as the rest of "religions"...they all have their own interpretation of the bible, when the bible clearly says there is no interpretation given to one man one way and another man another way...baptists tend to think that it's something they've done to recieve...just like the rest of "religions"....don't get me wrong...i don't see the bible as a "religion" per se'....

I somewhat agree with that, that is more or less what Christian Churches do though they just read and teach from the bible, and leaves you to determine what it means to you.... I was just saying the Baptist don't have like rituals and things like alot of the others do... and They beleive that Jesus is the Son of GOD, and the only way into Heaven is through Jesus... on that the agree with each other...

yes, they all say they believe but ,the bible says demons believe and tremble....can man come to god of his own accord??...baptists always teach the sinners prayer, as do many others...say this, and say that and everything will be ok...it is'nt like your joining the moose lodge...within "religions" there are too many I did this or that...or I said this or that...before lucifer fell, he was saying alot of I ME MINE stuff...ALL religions have one thing incommon, and that is, they teach it is something you can do of yourself...and that goes against what is taught in the bible...

I happen to be a baptized member of the Anglican Church, but I hardly go to church. Churches are crawling with hippocrites and all kinds of creeps. What really matters is having a rock-solid belief in God and trying to emulate the teachings of the bible & Jesus Christ if one is a christian. I have a lot of respect for other great religions of the world b/c they all emphasize the importance of love, peace, compassion, humility, steadfastness amongst a host of other lofty attributes.

I feel we all need to felloship some place, church is a good place, and the real churc is in your heart when you findsomething in your churc you do not like.
is god gonna really seperate the baptists from the cathlics and so on. i don't think so the bible talks of of one body. and the trinity the father ,the son and the holy sprite. we as christians need to stand fast and hold our beliefs close to our hearts. and serve him and not bicker or make a mockery of him
Christians of the Holy Pentacostal Faith believe in the power of the Holy Ghost. We believe that God is the same today as Back in Biblical times. Alot of people call us Holy-Rollers and snake handlers! Maybe some churches practice that but the church i attend doesn't. We also believe in the scripture that says"To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord". When christians die they go on to Heaven. I think these are two of the most popular disagreements that separates christians into denominations. Also, the drinking of alcohol. because Jesus turned the water into wine at the wedding feast some people think that getting wasted is not a sin. Everyone would agree that Jesus was perfect-without sin-then why would we turn water into alcohol so people would get drunk and sin? He didn't turn the water into alcohol. it was wine, plain grape juice, but not processed to have alcohol. This is another misconception between denominations.
Dunno really. I was raised Episcopal, went to protestant church when I was in the military (where the cute women went and why i clicked that option on the poll) , and now I attend a Baptist church with my neice (she's religious, not me) all the while I have no belief in any god.
